Chief complaint) Suspected temporal lobe epilepsy; episodes of staring and memory impairment since 2022
Discussion Epileptogenic tumor of children and young adults.
Imaging features
 Solid or partially cystic, ill-defined tumor typically involving the cortex and subcortical white matter of the temporal lobe, usually without significant mass effect.
 Heterogeneous T2/FLAIR hyperintensity with a characteristic “salt-and-pepper” appearance and variable cystic components.
 Calcification is common, ranging from small punctate foci to coarse central calcification.
 No restricted diffusion.
 Minimal or no contrast enhancement.
