Imaging features Solid or partially cystic, ill-defined tumor typically involving the cortex and subcortical white matter of the temporal lobe, usually without significant mass effect. Heterogeneous T2/FLAIR hyperintensity with a characteristic “salt-and-pepper” appearance and variable cystic components. Calcification is common, ranging from small punctate foci to coarse central calcification. No restricted diffusion. Minimal or no contrast enhancement.
