Diagnosis Melanoma
Clinical information A 57-year-old male patient presented with nasal obstruction.
What was the diagnosis?
Discussion Sinonasal melanoma is a rare and aggressive mucosal melanoma that most commonly arises in the nasal cavity or paranasal sinuses and often presents with epistaxis or nasal obstruction. Imaging findings are highly variable due to differing amounts of melanin and frequent intratumoral hemorrhage, with MRI showing heterogeneous signal intensity, including possible T1 hyperintensity from melanin or hemorrhage.
