C.C: Headache, vomiting, weight loss (10kg/3mo), general weakness
Discussion Astroblastoma
• Children and young adults. (Median age: 14 years old)
• Almost exclusively supratentorial, well-demarcated
• Both solid and cystic components "bubbly" appearance.


Image finding
- CT: hyperdense (solid portion) on NECT (85%)
punctate/psammomatous or dense globular calcifications
- MR: combination of peripheral rim and solid nodular enhancement “signet ring" appearance.

DDx:
- Young children: pilocytic astrocytoma, hemispheric ependymoma, and atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor, Embryonal tumors with multilayered rosettes (ETMR)
- Older children and young adults : oligodendroglioma and pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma
