| Discussion | Rare CNS tumor, much less frequent than intracranial subependymoma Relatively slow-growing benign tumor, histologically to WHO grade I 50% clinically silent and only found incidentally at autopsy location: intramedullary in the cervical or cervicothoracic region age: middle and older age individuals Imaging Findings - eccentric location in spinal cord - MR iso- to low on T1WI, and high SI on T2WI - Poor gadolinium enhancement, but slight enhancement may be present. - Rare intra-tumoral cysts and calcification Swelling of spinal cord: extremely steep --> large fusiform dilatation(subpial growth), resembling bamboo leaf on MRI (bamboo leaf sign) Reference: J Korean Neurosurg Soc. 2018 Mar; 61(2): 233–242.
