| Discussion | [Review: Sjögren’s Syndrome associated MALT lymphoma] • Malignant lymphoma is the most serious complication of Sjögren’s Syndrome (SS) • A variety of histologic subtypes of lymphoma can occur in patietns with SS • MALT lymphoma accounting for 48 - 75% of all cases (frequently located in the parotid gland) • MALT lymphoma affecting the tongue in patients with SS is extremely rare • Image findings • Non-specific image features because the findings of MALT lymphoma depend on which organ is affected. • Possible differential diagnosis: skeletal muscle origin tumor, minor salivary gland origin tumor, neural origin tumor, malignancy such as tongue cancer, metastasis, lymphoma |
