Discussion Solitary fibrous tumor of nasal cavity
1) Introduction
-Spindle fibroblastic cell tumor of mesenchymal origin
-Usually arises in pleura; 5-27% in H&N (oral cavity, orbit)
-Rare sinonasal tract involvement (86 in English literature until 2018)
-18-70 years of age (usually at/after 50s), M=F, obstruction/epistaxis
-Slow-growing painless mass
-Recur in 5.8%
-Treatment for recurrence: repeated surgery, external beam RT, stereotactic radiosurgery
2) Imaging findings
-CT: Homogeneous, marked enhancement, Bone remodeling, thinning
-MR
:T2 heterogeneous iso to low  important diagnostic clue (d/t collagen), high areas: hemorrhage, myxoid/cystic change, fresh fibrous tissue
:T1 homogeneous, iso, marked enhancement, signal voids
:Washout Time-intensity curve pattern : similar with juvenile angiofibroma
