- Secondary change due to variable etiology.
# Etiology
- Use and subsequent withdrawal of antiepileptic drugs.
- Associated with drug therapy, malignancy, infections, subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), metabolic abnormalities, trauma, and viral infection and metabolic abnormalities.
# Image findings
- Ovoid T2/FLAIR HSI with restricted diffusion at central corpus callosum splenium.
- Tend to be midline, and are relatively symmetric.
- Lack enhancement on contrast material–enhanced images.
- Reversible within a few days.
