| Discussion | Definitions: -AVM intrinsically involving the trigeminal nerve has been rarely reported. -AVM of trigeminal nerve can cause trigeminal neuralgia by extrinsically compressing the nerve rather than involving the nerve itself. Imaging: -On high resolution MRI sequences, the vascular structures around the left trigeminal nerve roots, cisternal segment, are directly seen, and the nerve root fibers were splayed with vascular structures interposed between the fibers. -Conventional angiography can be performed to confirm the diagnosis. |
