| Discussion | ▪ Criteria (S Okada and R Okeda Neuropathology 2001; 21, 247–265) -The patient has had radiotherapy and the latency from the completion of the radiation is usually more than 6 months -Tumor or other etiology can be excluded -Spinal cord is sometimes swollen or inversely atrophic -CSF study :Lymphocytes infiltration, moderate elevation of protein -Differential diagnosis :Paraneoplastic syndrome -Imaging findings -MRI : most widely used diagnostic methods May be normal T2 high signal intensity Enhancement -Differential diagnosis ▪ Radiation induced glioma Long term latent period, PET uptake ▪ Isolated intramedullary metastasis |
