Incidence : 1% after renal transplantation to as high as 20% among small bowel recipients, and it is higher in children.
Post-transplant PCNSL occurs in 0.3% of organ transplant recipients.
About 15% of transplant recipients with PTLD have central nervous system (CNS) involvement.
The median time from transplantation to diagnosis of PCNS-PTLD : 4.4 years
Most patients had monomorphic, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-positive disease of B-cell origin.
Median survival : 47 months.
Radiologic findings
Multiple (61-83%)
Enhancement – heterogeneous (56%), ring (29%), homogenous (41%)
Any location in brain, most commonly lobar, periventricular, basal ganglia
