Discussion Gardner뭩 syndrome

Gardner뭩 syndrome, which is inherited as an autosomal dominant trait, consists of multiple osteomas, multiple colonic polyps, epidermoid and sebaceous cysts, desmoid tumors of the skin, and impacted supernumerary and permanent teeth. The multiple osteomas often precede the onset of the colonic polyps, and these polyps almost always eventually become malignant. Osteomas have a predilection for the frontal bone, maxilla, and mandible, although they may be observed in any of the bones of the cranium or facial skeleton. Osteomas of the jaw usually appear early in life, most often in the second decade.
