| Discussion | [정답] Langerhans' cell histiocytosis 1) Location in head and neck: skull, orbit, mandible 2) Overall incidence of orbital involvement in children with LCH : 23% 3) Imaging findings - Soft tissue mass with adjacent smoothly marginated lytic bony defect should suggest diagnosis - CT : homogeneous density with mild to moderate enhancement - MR : heterogeneous signal by blood products on T2WI : moderate to marked enhancement 4) Extension into epidural space or temporal fossa more suggest rhadomyosarcoma or metastatic small cell tumor ( DDx point : penetration of dura or intracranial extension is not typical LCH ) |
